Industry Safety Approvals

The children’s industry including all high chairs and booster seats was basically self-regulated by industry associations until 2011. The JPMA (Juvenile Products Manufactures Association) and ASTM (American Society for Testing Materials) are the two main associations. Our design team has followed every guideline and recommendation closely. In addition to this we studied dozens of recalls and accidents related to high chairs and booster seats. Then came up with designs that helped correct many of these issues. Following our chairs first production run with the help of DECA safety consultants, we will seek all necessary approvals under JPMA, ASTM associations and the CPSA government approvals. (Category F404-4e1) All parts are made of high density, rotationally molded polyethylene which are CPSIA / HR4040 compliant.

About CPSC

In 2011 the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSA) came into effect. This is when the self-regulation / optional testing ended. There was a few minor design regulation changes dealing with high chairs. The leg clearance between the tray and seat has been reduced. Other new changes deal with product identifications, warnings and safety disclosures were also changed. www.cpsc.gov
